Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Ariz., says probably the only way the American public will get to the bottom of the mysteries surrounding Barack Obama’s birth records – including why a birth document was forged – is for Congress to investigate.
Arpaio, whose Cold Case Posse investigators held a news conference Tuesday to report evidence confirms the birth certificate image released by the White House in 2011 is fraudulent, discussed the issue Wednesday with talk radio host Peter Boyles of KHOW in Denver.
“The only way we’re going to get to the bottom of this … someone, and I don’t know who, has to look into this and really make a full-fledged investigation and take everything we have and move forward,” Arpaio told Boyles.
“Who do I go to? The U.S. government? I’m in a box. [What we need is for] Congress to open up hearings, get a special prosecutor and let’s get with it,” he said.
“I’ve got enough smoke, or even fire, now,” Arpaio said.
The sheriff started looking into Obama’s birth certificate last year after hundreds of tea party activists in his county came to him with concerns that Obama would use a fraudulent document to place his name on the presidential ballot in Arizona.
In March, Arpaio’s investigators said there was probable cause to believe the document was a fake and using it as an official document could constitute fraud.

This week they claimed they now have indisputable proof.
Lead investigator Mike Zullo said, “What we’re telling you is, that document isn’t real.”
The birth certificate issue casts a shadow over Obama’s eligibility to hold office, as the Constitution requires a president to be a “natural born citizen,” considered by the Founders to be the offspring of two citizen parents.
For that reason, some say even an Obama birth documented in Hawaii matters little, as Obama’s father was a foreign national who was in the U.S. as a student.
Arpaio also was concerned that media is so uninterested in what could be a major constitutional problem.
“Why don’t they look at the facts? That’s what sad about the news media right now. They just don’t want to bring this issue up, no matter what we present,” he said of establishment media, which acted as a cheerleader for Obama during his 2008 campaign.

Arpaio also pointed out his investigators found serious loopholes in Hawaii law that allow parents to obtain birth certificates for children not born in the state or even in the U.S.
The loopholes threaten national security, he said.
“Somebody ought to look into how easy it is to get a birth certificate in Hawaii,” Arpaio said. “All you have to do is live there for a year and pay some water bills and you go in and get a birth certificate for anybody. Why isn’t that a big issue when we’re talking about immigration and national security?” he said.
He said while numerous experts have confirmed the digital image from the White House is a creation, not a representation of a real document, the “boots-on-the-ground” investigation now has corroborated that.
The sheriff noted his investigators talked with the registrar whose name appears on the White House document. And they uncovered the code for the pencil markings on the document. The markings indicate several of the fields in the document should be blank, yet information has been entered.
Arpaio noted that his news conference was live-streamed on the Internet, and that may be the only way to get the truth out.
“Let the public know what’s going on,” he said. “When you’re talking about documents and they’re fraudulent, that’s a crime. Nobody seems to care about that,” he said.
Washington Times columnist Jeffrey Kuhner warned of the earthquake that could result.
He referenced Arpaio’s investigators: “Their stunning conclusion: The document is a forgery.”
“Sheriff Arpaio’s findings threaten to plunge America into an unprecedented crisis. for if – and again, I emphasize if – he is correct, then Mr. Obama has perpetrated the most elaborate hoax in U.S. history. A fraudulent birth certificate would mean that Mr. Obama is ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief. His president would therefore be legally and constitutionally illegitimate,” he wrote.
“It would mean that he should be immediately removed from office – impeached. Moreover, every law and executive order passed under his administration – Obamacare, the economic stimulus, the Dodd-Frank financial reform, the government takeover of General Motors and Chrysler, the granting of amnesty to nearly one million illegal immigrants, the National Defense Reauthorization Act, the drone assassination list – would be null and void,” he wrote.
The implications, he said, are stunning.
“The login is inexorable: Should the president’s legal authority be deemed invalid, then everything resulting from it is also baseless. The Obama presidency would be overturned. Mr. Obama himself would be facing criminal charges – and possible jail time – for committing fraud.” |
