Here is the full text. You only quoted the last phrase which CANNOT be read correctly without the first part of the paragraph. Read the entire paragraph. When he said you didn't build that, he was referring to the "American system, roads and bridges", not the person's business! Good lord. Obama: "If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help," he said. "There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business -- you didn't build that; somebody else made that happen." "Good lord, it is as clear as the nose on your face. How can there be a controversy when I post the exact text?" I guess because you don't understand English. What part of: " If you've got a business -- you didn't build that; somebody else made that happen." don't you understand. Quit whining and acknowledge the truth.
