Yeah, we had a good run last year, too. Best in years.

Cleaning up the rivers you think?

<<I'll send that to a buddy in Lincoln City, OR..he'll probably be interested. thanks.

Interestingly, in WA & OR we are having a huge salmon year...official estimates are off by 10x! Don't hear news like that very often.

Also a few dams have been removed, more to come out... salmon and steelhead are making their ways into areas where they haven't been seen for nearly a century..

I nearly fell off my couch when I saw Ichiro in pinstripes.

Holy moly. I just never imagined he would not retire as a Mariner.

But business is business and it looks like he is excited about the change of scenery.

Glad to rent him for a year. Hoping maybe longer. Always love watching him play.

For the Yankees it was a no-brainer. Boost in ratings on their TV station, lots of jerseys to sell, and someone to fit nicely where Gardner played in left field. (He is out for season.)

I still think I would prefer to see him in his normal right field, throwing out people at first base with the short porch. But I don't think Swisher can handle the real estate of left field.
