I agree. I was using shorthand. It is a truism it is a constitutional democracy. But the constitution was created by the people and not a king or tribal chief, or a religion. That was a big change from previous history when the people did not rule themselves. considering how little regard that democrats have for the US Constitution, I am amazed that you brought it into the conversation. But again, we are not a "constitutional democracy", we are a constitutional republic. That is not a truism, it is a fact.
