We were zoned G when we bot here in '76 and could have done pretty much anything we wanted with the land. (we bot 2 1/2 acres, and the 3 acres next to us a few yrs later.) We eventually subdivided and sold off 5 acres and kept ours. If I had it to do over again, we would have put in a surface well for irrigation. As it is, water has become very expensive and that is a crime considering we're in the PNW where water is extremely plentiful. I found out a yr of so ago that it cost $10,000 just for a surface well permit, so it is now out of the question. If we had our own water we'd have a huge veggie garden. The cost of water makes it so just one tomato costs $ 15 bucks. I can buy a case of tomatoes for that price.
