:) That would have really been interesting to hear about though :) We lived in the UP for a few years, both in Marquette and Ishpeming. We loved it. At that time one could leave doors to home and car unlocked. We didn't often as it was 'just habit' for us to lock them. They had a lot of Finnish history going around though... I loved the story about the Finn who was found in the depths of the Ore Docks in Marquette. He had disappeared years ago and tho there was a thorough search no one could find him anywhere in the vicinity of Marquette. Then, accidentally, as repairs were being made, a body was found.. because of being 'feed' for animals and birds for years, and just plain 'rotting away', the only way they were able to identify him was because of the gold medal around his neck, his pride and joy, saying National Hide and Seek Champion.
