I've heard a lot of people say they really like that area. It is a large post, with lots of people moving in and out, so maybe they can find a real deal on a home in these modern times! Probably would be a good place to have a rental unit or two, also. I am not familiar with the on-post housing situation there, which would be the real determining factor in investing in a rental. I doubt seriously the military will be spending a lot of money on new housing for a few years, so that could well make a rental even more valuable.

I have looked at that as one possible place for 'real' retirement, with the post facilities being available. But I've looked at a lot of possibilities, and still just continue to stay here, so I imagine that's all it is ... just looking!

Hope they continue to like it there. That always makes it easier all the way around, when one likes the area where they live.
