Do you know if aliens eat eggplants? A lot of people don't like eggplant, but I really do. And I have always felt that my true home is far far away.

fear of being alone is a big factor in religious delusions, what a friend we have in Jesus, or space aliens, or egg plants...

Absolutely , that is the underlying truth of the human psyche & a natural expression of only this rudimentary emergent consciousness to try & seek an expression of that order of complexity we are still not free enough to comprehend . For that is the main fear that dickers with the Religionists innate fear of Science which is coming to a full realization now that there is really very little "free will" in the mix , which is an illusion among many many cherished delusions . (giordano's aliens the same)

Try as they may every major religion sits helplessly by an ancient stoneage fire trying to come up with any other way to explain away all that Evil in the world which even the most casual glance back in any history sees not a personal God or Creator full of love or compassion , but a creation that can only be described as run by a capricious mass murderer & dealer of endless misery . Its only by injection of the idea of Free Will that this infinitely wicked , dead beat "father" that insanely killed by the millions , finds even limited salvation & redemption .

In the end what Science discovers the potential for is an emergent compassion we generate from within our reason , what Science would simply say & says more now , better real Fathers & Mothers here on earth than any imaginary ones in heaven . (And if they are same sex , so be it )

Maybe egg plants really do have a message for us....have never felt comfortable on this egg planet. Most humans don't know the only reason earth exists

Really like the egg planet pun and of course they do have a message for us as does any manifestation of beautifully organized life when properly studied . Though the meaning might be lost by those who spend all their time pretending to see UFOs & preaching gross sky fairie stories written in 6000yrs ago
(and the Sky fairies before that & before that )

A perfect chance maybe to get entirely away from all that lingering ancient superstition & getting away from all that grotesque language starting over & change the names . When you think about it "Earth" is really a mundane a word with all the tired old Biblical connotations which is really better suited for describing the habitat of worms & cringing humans living in constant turmoil & fear .

Why not change the name to planet Aubergine? One hell of a lot better than "Earth"....

*Sounds good to me , not to mention
a beautiful hue of color to boot ! ;-)

And the fear of judgment is a big factor in atheism:

As champion of science Eienstein spoke of that incomplete consciousness being only so far developed in us as biological machines , which underneath that thinly veiled veneer we hold of ourselves with some idea of "Free Will " describing it as an optical delusion . He saw that great reality simply as it is after Hubble helped a little later on from his observatory expanding the vista a billion fold . It's we trying to peer out still trapped each in our seperate little boxes.

But what could be interpreted here as only more of a greatest hope for humanity amidst an infinite yet impersonal realism of the nature of the world & vast universe ?

There is no "atheism" here or is there any nodding accent to religion either, but something exactly that which religion would aspire to but falls far short in its frozen idealism & failed medieval romanticism . What is written here is far less cloying and truely liberating for it deals with nature of reality and the potential for seeing true unity . The escape from the prison of limitations of our immaturity as part of potential developement which is all inclusive not exclusive .

      "Einstein: Optical Delusion of Consciousness"

"A human being is a part of the whole, called by us, "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.

This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security."
