I tried to pay a lot of attention to what my kids were being taught when they were in school, and for the most part, it was pretty straight and narrow 3 'Rs', but I know I missed some stuff. What I'd like to see is conservative parents organize and strictly monitor what is being taught in schools. I have never heard of such a group, but if I had kids in public school right now, I'd form one. Maybe it has been tried and that is one of the reasons people put their kids in private schools? We probably have the most lefty schools in the country with the possible exception of the ivies. The kids are taught to think lefty.

There's too much to do to pay attention to what's going on I suspect that's the nub of most going wrong here and elsewhere. Life got very fat over the past few generations and that process is generally taken as a simple given. Most have no exposure to a serious look at how the machinery of production evolved, which study is further lost in the exponential explosion of other information. Low info folks use moral intuition to elect and inflict sorry specimens on the rest of us. But nothing concentrates the faculties like the certainty that one is to be hanged in a fortnight. Pieces of an ugly certainty are emergent, something will follow. Preferably something good.
