MM,
I think they have been moving towards exploration and not "fee for service" for a long time. It certainly is more profitable to get leases and use the technology to drill wells we have a major interest in.
The stonewalling by UPR has been a problem for us. That is why IMO NAE has went after other projects (wisely) and let them be a '98 project when the plant is near or actually operating. The #1 issue is revenue. Everything else is secondary to that. I think the direction they are going now is good. The change has been the best course.
The 100 million shares out figure is a lot. We need to know for sure of course. It is possible to generate the income to make that a non-issue as they aquire new leases and get established fields producing. It will probobly be a steady climb instead of a fast run as before.
Have to go to the get together so more later.

cya,
Bob

Hello Mitch: "Things change so frequently -- important strategic issues -- and the information on them is so uncertain, how are we supposed to know what to believe?"
This company has never been one to snow you with information, that's for sure. At least they are giving us timely results regarding the most important area-- their drilling program.

I have no idea about what happened at the IPAA meetings. I believe that Paul had meetings there and spent much of the week in conversations with KNE and establishing a relationship with another resource company. When it comes right down to it, I would prefer that a management team would consider activities that produce revenue to be more important than public relations opportunities. Considering the six-well deal we have for December, I think they used their time wisely.

<<NAMX is not a "fee for service company". Since when? Until very recently that is exactly what they were planning to be.>>
NAMX has always maintained a position as an exploration company. Just look at the name of the comapny. I recall this information being a part of their original website. In fact, the reason I was attracted to them was due to the possibility that I could benefit from accessing the resources of several resource companies through a single company whose technology would actually reduce my risk of loss.

They have decided to prove themselves through their successes. It is also where the money is. I doubt that they will ever scan an area and develop it without taking an equity interest in the results.

A few weeks ago, I mistakenly compared NAMX to a Schlumberger which may have confused things. My comments may have misled you. If they can prove their technology, they may become that. Right now, they are a junior exploration company with a perfect record. As such, they will assume the risk and rewards that are a part of all exploration companies. In time, they may develop a services unit. Tthey are developing their reputation as an exploration company with a unique technology.

Have a Great Weekend.
