Mr Watsa had huge failures but also multibaggers. It seems to work out on aggregate but that does not mean that every individual bet is good. For example, last year, he added ABH (now RFP) in the mid twenties. RFP is now trading at 10$. I don't think he should be called Buffet of the North, because he uses an entirely different method to make money( more like intelligent betting on turnaround situations, rather than Graham and using margin of safety to protect from downside.)
