It is not surprising that those who detest Govt. also support the free availability of guns and when doing so they quote that Second Amendment and how it bestows them that right. I am not sure why we continue to live in those "Wild Frontier" days. We know and wonder why we continue to be the only Western nation that still make guns available so that "we could use t hem to protect ourselves." I ask, protection against what. What is the "American paranoia" that we need to make guns available so freely. We talk about our Second Amendment rights. I wonder why that right takes precedence over the right to life of those folks who died.

What's most frustrating is that our leaders like Obama know enough not to bring up the subject..............that its a non starter. Every time that happens the right and their nonsensical view on life wins.

This is height of stupidity in that we do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. As if Arizona and Rep. Giffords injuries were not enough. And our half assed Congress is more concerned about "Fast and Furious" but the least bit concerned about the lives of innocent Americans who cannot even enjoy a good outing at night for who knows.....

They are more concerned about repealing health care 33 times than taking care of the American population.

tejek, you laughed along with the world who is laughing at America's stupidity. Is this what is called freedom? If yes, then America might as well take it and shove it instead of preaching their brand of freedom to the world and particularly trying to spread democracy in countries like Egypt, Iraq etc.

Exactly. We look like horses' asses.
