Of course they are paying their share. Low income folks pay from the same federal tax rate schedule as you do. And retired folks smart enough to leave high cost states like CA, NY, or MA and go to a lower cost state to live also paid from the same federal tax rate schedule as you. Obviously, you feel a lot of envy and bitterness over the nation's progressive federal tax rates but it isn't warranted.
