Now, we pay out more than we get. If taxes go up on those making > 250K , we'll still pay more than we get, but I think the margin will shrink. Getting back 85 cents instead of 79 cents would be nice; 90 cents even better.

He's dreaming. The federal government hasn't been spending enough in California to cover what their states high income earners pay in taxes in the past, but he thinks the feds will somehow give his state more free stuff if California taxpayers send even MORE money to the federal government.

It's the cargo cult mentality.
