I read that book back when I thought I could gamble. Darn interesting read!

That seems an odd name for a book about cheating at gambling. But perhaps it has a lot more to it than the title. I shouldn't judge a book by even less than its cover.

A roulette worker at Sky City [casino in Auckland] told somebody I know that he thought he could pretty much land the ball in half of the wheel. Give or take a bit. I know I can toss a coin and get either heads or tails [I'd have to have a bit of practise again]. By "toss" I mean flick up into the air, catch, and slap down on the back of my other hand. A roulette wheel is much the same process, albeit not so simple.
