We went to the church, it was a beautiful ceremony. The groom was so nervous, his mom was afraid he would pass out on the alter. He did not. They wrote their own vows, and it was beautiful. Her reception was on Tybee Island. After the ceremony, I was standing outside with my daughter. I told her I wanted a husband for her like Meagan's. She ask me what I meant by that. I told her that I want a husband for her that looked at her the way Ethan looked at Meagan. A look that says, I will do anything for you and will love you forever. And then I comment that her current boyfriend did not have that look. (She broke up with him while we were in Savannah!) Later during a subsequent conversation, I said to Emily about her brother Michael. "Do you think if Michael and Lauren ever get married he will look at her that way?" Without hesitating Emily said, "oh Mom, he already looks at her that way!!" (Michael and Lauren have been dating since they were 15 and 17, nearly 5 years now) After the reception, about 15 of us were sitting in the hotel lobby kicking back and closing out a great day. I was talking to my nephew, the bride's brother. I was telling him about my conversation with Emily. I got to the part about Michael and Lauren, and I recanted, "Do you think if Michael and Lauren ever got married he would look at her that way??" Before I could continue with the story, Tyler, my nephew, quickly turned his head and said...."Oh Aunt Jane, he already does!! I have seen it!!" * It was a great day! *Michael is 22, and just graduated college in May, but as of yet....no engagement ring for Lauren!
