nothing here too.......I had already tried that,I thought maybe some radio dot that had to be selected somewhere, kinda like the navigation panel dot on the "options" screen.

I highlighted the entire number and then replaced it with a new number... like 7, then hit enter and PRESTO! up pops message 7...
