I don't know the exact relationship with Orbit, maybe someone else can comment on the particulars. Lamond also owns interests in other O&G based companies in Alberta.

There may be some assets sales or even suffles if Lamond wants to get creative and get ready for a fight. On the other hand he may be happy with the offer, it's quite a premium over the average trading range for the last 6 months.

Time will tell, Orbit should respond to the offer in short order but from the sounds of things I think he wants to keep orbit. They just recetnly got their act together, completed the re-organization and started Orbit on an growth trend.

I'm happy with the offer C $1.70 but I'll wait a while to get a better feel for it.
