What our great and estimable hero said was that irrational exuberance is hard to identify, other than in retrospect. Which is obviously true or there would not be irrational exuberance as huge profits would be made shorting it, thereby stopping the irrationality before it could get far. Not many people seem to have actually read his comments which included the words "irrational exuberance". He did not say that there was irrational exuberance. Mqurice
