>How can you have cable modem hosting without the service?<

Here is an example. Suppose you have a ISP hosting your web site and you live in an area where @Home is not available. You take orders on your web site and you collect those orders by simply logging on using your web program like FrontPage or by ftp. You pay $20/month for your regular internet connection and another $50 - $100 for your hosting contract.

There is no reason why you can not move your hosting contract from your ISP to @Home even though you are not a @Home subscriber. Providing the rates are competitive, that's exactly what a lot of people (including me) will do. The reason? A more dependable organization, better pipelines and possibly better service.

There is a very large market here because we are talking about everybody, regardless of where they are, that has a hosting contract. In theory, people in Mongolia can sign up immediately.
