Well yeah, they lied and made it stick because it was just complicated enough for them to successfully parse. But I have seen that speech many times and I KNOW what Obama It's not even his original line, he copied from Cherokee Liz Warren. There is absolutely no doubt what either of them meant. You didn't really build it, therefore you don't really deserve to own it, therefore the govt can take away as much as it wants. Romney is blatantly lying and misrepresenting it and that should be very worrisome to people that they might elect such a blatant liar. The reason that this one is sticking so well is that it confirms Obama's previous actions and his previous statements. Y'all can call Romney a liar all you want and it won't change the truth of what Obama said and it won't shift the focus to Romney. Obama owns his words and his words are very clear in their meaning.
