If I would be in Merkel position I would show the US rating agencies the finger, bar them from the EU and better just sue them on their own turf where litigation is as popular as apple pie or even better declare them illegal terrorist organizations with the scope of generating financial turmoil, serving the interest of a foreign country, who brought financial mayhem on the world by not keeping the gold standard
