The problem with SVU is that it has debt and pension obligations that are substantially greater than the value of its easily saleable parts. So the only real long term solution is to reverse the steady decline in revenues.

Wholesale food distributors I am seeing are all selling at relatively low stock prices. My pick among them for a turnaround investment is NAFC. I have shares; no idea how long a turnaround might take, if there is one.

I'll keep holding my few shares of SVU. If SVU does go under, it might benefit the other big two. For that possibility I like KR.
