Hey, yeah, big move today. If it wasn't for the strong volume, I'd say it's just the natural volatility. The move solidly flipped a lot of my technical indicators back to bullish. I haven't seen any news on FPGAs, but I did see that ALTR was downgraded. Pretty good move for a downgrade. Edelstone at MSDW lowered this year's estimates to $1.54 from $1.56 and put the stock at neutral from outperform. Two cents isn't that big of a deal. '98 estimates dropped from $1.95 to $1.80. A 7.6% drop is a pretty big deal. Especially since MSDW had previously upgraded them to outperform this past October.

XLNX also moved up strongly. A little more than 5.5, I think. A.G. Edwards and Cowens just came out with reports. I haven't seen them yet. Ragsdale at JPM gave XLNX a buy. He put his 12-month target at $52.

Still looking for the news that moved these two stocks. If anybody sees anything, let me know. Otherwise, I guess it was just market pull.
