The thing you have to think about is that HD prices are
dropping fast. I worked for a company, while interning, which
repaired and upgraded computers. The zip drive is a great product
which is easy to install. There is one problem that I know about.
The zip drive which connects to the PC parallel port is not WIN 95
compatible. This is what I heard.

With hd prices coming down, is the market that big? I don't think so.
You can purchase an 850MB hd for $200. That is a terrific deal.
The zip drives have a 20-25ms access time, whereas new hd have a
10-13ms access time and are quite faster. As for buying it for backup
purposes, they aren't big enough and SCSI tape backups are better
