the activation period begins when the signal is first given and losses any predicitive significance if the market weakness does not develop in the upcoming 30 days. and also ---Hindenburg Omen: Created by James Miekka, the Hindenburg Omen warns of potential weakness in the stock market. There are three criteria to activate the omen. First, NYSE new highs and new lows must both be more than 2.8% of advances plus declines. Second, the NY Composite is above its 50-day SMA. Third, the number of new highs cannot be more than double the number of new lows. The activation period is good for 30 days. Once active, a sell signal is triggered when the *McClellan Oscillator moves below zero and negated when the McClellan Oscillator moves back above zero.* ----- Mario Draghi, really juiced the markets yesterday when he said that the ECB would do what ever is necessary to keep the Euro union together yesterday, it occurred about 6 AM New York time and the EUD/USD catapulted 200 basis points in a minute or two. It then held on to those gains for the day. The geo-political concerns seemed to center on the dissembling going on in Syria.There is great concern about the stores of chemical weapons at risk. The Russians fear they could fall into the hands of the Muslim rebels in Chechnya. The Israelis fear they could fall into the hands of Hezbollah. The U.S. fears they could be seized by al Qaeda.Complicating things further, the current regime, fearing that they could fall into the hands of the Syrian rebels, havemoved them, maybe several times. Now, no one is quite sure where they are. Confounding things further, there are reports that the Christian minority may have begun supporting the Assad regime ,fearing horrific oppression should the rebels come to power. There are myriad of other implications for the entire Mid East in what ultimately happens in Syria. From Israel to Egypt to Iran to Saudi Arabia, the Syrian resolution may change the face and fate of the Middle East. Maybe we’ll go through that next week. "
