Yes, Look at Texas with the highest rate of uninsured in the US. Why don't you brag about that?

MJ, you forgot one item, the electrical grid in Texas which is one of three in the US. All the above items you mentioned requires electricity and at times need to get electricity from other parts of the country. What about hurricanes and tornado's, droughts? Do you need the Federal Government to assist during these matters, or Mexicans coming into Texas from Mexico.

I was in San Antonio in January. I was told not to rent an apartment in Southern Antonio for the Winter months because of the Mexican cartel, nor, rent in the east part of the town, which was primarily black because the Hispanics and blacks did not get alone. Is that correct? If so, Texas is not as self contained as you have presented.
