As the patent war between Apple ( AAPL) and Samsung ( 005930) continues to heat up in the United States, Apple has won another small victory abroad, albeit temporarily. A judge in the United Kingdom ruled last week that as part of retribution for repeatedly relaying damning messages about Samsung products, Apple would have to place several advertisements in British newspapers explaining that Samsung products do not copy Apple’s despite the Cupertino, California-based company’s repeated prior claims. All Things D reports that on Thursday, however, the judge granted Apple’s request to postpone the punishment through October, when the iPhone maker will have a chance to appeal the decision in court.
