10 pm, almost dark, very quiet, essentially no sound except the owl owling somewhere nearby, and the flipping of my daughter's book, "dumpling days". Daughter insists on sleeping w/ us. Son insists on sleeping on his own in nanny's room.

Am thankful that daughter is a reader.

We have not turned on the tv at this country place at all.

Do not have pic but we went to a farmer's market today and got quite a bit of food, incl yogurts, berries, sausages, and such. Upon return to home we got busy w/ this and that and while doing so noticed that jack broke into the fridge and opened the box of cut garlic sausages on the kitchen floor, gobbling.

Am thankful that jack is a proactive eater.
