Evan:

If your horizon is 20 years, I'd go with the DOWs, or INTL, CSCO, and the other techs. Biotech, too, but I don't know them. For 6 - 18 months, I'm investing in the oil services.

Please answer the following:
1. Would you appreciate having the opportunity to receive a 100% return in 3 years, 5-years, 12 years, or 20 years.
2. If yes, what degree of risk would you take to achieve any of the above 3 scenarios?
The stocks you present offer varying degrees of risk; the bottom line message is you need to balance your portfolio to your objectives and the risks you feel comfortable taking. If you feel uncomfortable allocating part of your investments to stocks which may appreciate 100+% in 6 to 36 months, don't do it. Ginnie Mae's, 30-year t-bonds, etc. will double your money in 7 - 9 years too.
