Those 28% independents are not going to tell the pollsters about party preference. I had a call about 2 days ago. I decided to participate and reveal very little------I figured they were targeting women and of a particular age---after a couple of questions. The computerized questions were organized so as to reveal as much as possible as the last question 'was are you likely to change your mind before the election" . I f you said yes you can expect more calls or mailings to attempt to change your mind. After the poll, I looked up the telephone number on the net sure enough the telephone # look up on the net takes you to the Obama Campaign. With 28% independents in the poll KP just cited, looks like Obama may get his walking papers back to Chicago, if Chicago will have him.
