Yes.

The #1 most important factor in any digital imaging tool is the size of the sensor.

In this #1 most important case, size truly does matter, boys and gals.

The BIGGER THE BETTER.

Because, a large censor can record distinct rays or light clearer and cleaner than a small one can.

Matter of physics. Google it.

Add to that the ten years Nokia spent perfecting the software PureView algorithm to put on top of that very large - for a phonecam - sensor, plus the best Zeiss lens on the planet.

The Nokia 808 PureView is presently the best example of Star Trek tech, EVER!

Phonecams will eat dumb cam's lunch, across the board.

Canon and Nikon better come up with a top of the line $5k camera that also does web, email, maps and walks my dog, if I ever get a dog again.

Or they're toast.

The inability to see what is right in front of one's face is a documented, human phenomenon.

When confronted with something absolutely new, never seen before, the average human is perfectly capable of ignoring and not seeing it.

Witness Columbus and and his three ships.

Completely invisible to the natives - cause they NEVER EVER saw anything like that floating in - except for their shamans, who did see the three ships and said, WTF is that?

The rest is history.

Same here with PureView.

Total game changer. Mark my words. Gonna burn the house down! ;-)))
