" I agree about government," Really? "Government is the solution", remember? Oh, no, not when the "rich and powerful" (aka the Republicans, right? at least in Koanland) are in charge? Only when the non-"rich and powerful" (aka the Democrats), who know so much better than the "masses" what's best for them, are in charge. Yeah, right.

In the USA, the "masses" have had an unprecedented opportunity to treat themselves well because of limited government and rights of the individual. That is what is threatened today, regardless of who is in charge of the federal government. (The power of the unions arose in a different economic era - like companies, if they don't adapt they die. Today, when workers themselves freely choose they often as not choose NOT to unionize. The cost isn't worth it. Look at what happened in WI when dues were no longer mandatory for some public sector unions.)

As for money - both sides are raising it and spending it like water. Is that necessary? Yes. Is it decisive? Not necessarily. Obama spent a ton of money in June and July on ads and campaigning and the polls have hardly budged. Sheldon Adelman - one of your 19 billionaires - gave Newt Gingrich $21 million, and Newt is still not the Republican candidate.

":During 08 the fed gave the rich and powerul trillions and main street very little."

Very true. Yet the only organized oppostion to this policy came from the tea party. Main line dems and Reps supported it.

Teaparty and Reps support audit of the fed. Obama and Dems and liberals dont. The only one on the liberal side who understands the corrosive and negative effects the fed has on the middle class is Dennis Kucinich, about the only thing he and I agree on.

"There are about 17 billionaires who are working together and providing over 50% of all the super pack money. They are not giving that money to make a better society, they are giving it to buy influence."

Another unsupported dem talking point I assume.

Their objective was to take as much control as possible
That is the goal of everyone who enters politics, especially liberals.

but who is controlling government?? It isn't the poor or even the middle class, it is the rich.

To the extent the rich control the government (which you exaggerate anyway), giving the government more power is giving the rich more power.
