Yours is an interesting post asking essential questions. Here is a relative strength chart comparing two stocks that perhaps satisfy your criteria. Though I believe LSG, (currently the stronger performer on the chart),will be profitable it will not pay a dividend. Its profits will be used for growth and development. G pays a growing dividend AND can finance future growth internally.

Aurizon is in very good shape financially. But I don't know it enough to tell you where growth will come.
