Yes, they were... I'll bet you're right, I'll bet the MM is messing with the stock price for one reason or another. Why? I have to read the proxy to figure out if a competing bid is possible. That ought to make for fun reading...

Alex,

I read in the merger papers that IBM has the right to purchase up to 40% of outstanding shares before the merger is complete, perhaps that is what is happening here and it's causing a little spike in the share price. I don't think it's a MM issue, after all.
