DF-Interestingly today in a coffee related story . In regards to my liking International Delights & competitor, Nestles Vanilla creamer. Dean Foods shares surge on Whitewave IPO plans Investors bid up the stock after the No. 1 U.S. milk processor outlined plans for an initial public offering of its Whitewave unit that sells Horizon Organic milk and Silk Soy products. Dean said it will sell a 20% stake in Whitewave, whose proposed IPO may be worth $300 million, according to its regulatory filing. Terms of the IPO have not been set. Horizon Organic and Silk Soy have been growing faster than Dean's regional milk brands. In the quarter ended June 30, Whitewave accounted for 40% of Dean's operating income. Dean shares are now up 98% over the last 12 months. marketwatch.com After Dean fell from grace. I always thought maybe Nestles might want DF to go along with Carnation after they bought it many many years ago. That If the possible deal could pass FTC scrutiny.
