Richard Dawkins The alternative to the Ten Commandments cited by Richard Dawkins in The God Delusion

  1. Do not do to others what you would not want them to do to you.
  2. In all things, strive to cause no harm.
  3. Treat your fellow human beings, your fellow living things, and the world in general with love, honesty, faithfulness and respect.
  4. Do not overlook evil or shrink from administering justice, but always be ready to forgive wrongdoing freely admitted and honestly regretted.
  5. Live life with a sense of joy and wonder.
  6. Always seek to be learning something new.
  7. Test all things; always check your ideas against the facts, and be ready to discard even a cherished belief if it does not conform to them.
  8. Never seek to censor or cut yourself off from dissent; always respect the right of others to disagree with you.
  9. Form independent opinions on the basis of your own reason and experience; do not allow yourself to be led blindly by others.
  10. Question everything.

"Craig Venter denies common descent"

LOL! Maybe you should watch the video! Complete agreement on all the fundamentals with some good natured bantering about some of the puzzles that still exist as we learn more and more about the diversity and complexity of life. All of them agree that there is thus far only one type of life (DNA based life) that we know about. If a non DNA life form were to be discovered, it would not speak against Evolution in any way, shape, or form.

Amusing how "Uncommon Descent" and their ridiculous ilk continue to massacre the truth and the facts--just the way Chimps break branches for a nest... HA!

But the video from the Science Network is actually quite good and provocative.

"The fundamental chemistry of all life is so very similar in spite of the extremes..."

"Maybe without UV radiation and all these things that drive mutations, life is a lot more stable...``

Craig Venter explaining the incredible complexity of life two miles under the earth (as concentrated as in the oceans!)

Now what was Yahweh doing down there!? -g-

Craig Ventner goes on to defend the premise that all life has a DNA base that relates all together.

This video is really worth posting again. It ought to be watched...
