You were going along just fine until you whimped out and tried to turn defense of gays as some sort of irrational, fanatical dem position. I did no such thing. I actually agree with the dem position for the most part, so it obviously cannot be irrational. It's the timing and focus on this issue rather than the issues that affect 100% of the population. Dems don't think governments can descriminate for beliefs, just actions. And yet, three democrat mayors are discriminating against the owners of Chick-Fil-A based on their beliefs. And they are doing it with the resounding support of the liberal left. The ACLU defends the neo Nazi's. And yet they don't defend the owners of Chick-Fil-A The right wing has been beating up the gays for decades. They put it in their platforms! Dems are the ones who push for legal gay marriage----in a church that goes along with it. The gays have no interest in a church that descriminates against them You know that this isn't true. Shall I start posting videos from gay couples who are angry with their church for not supporting their marriage? Shall I start posting videos of gay couples saying that they just want to be accepted? The gay marriage issue should be about one thing only, equal treatment under the law. It is not only impossible to legislate "acceptance", it violates the rights of others. Gays, like African American's, know who is on their side, and who has been using a cat of 9 tails on them for centuries! I'm not surprised that the gay community in general supports democrats. But suggesting that the situation is similar to blacks is absurd. Democrats have traditionally been the enemy of blacks. Democrats have further worked against the black community with the entitlement programs that keep them enslaved to the government while destroying the family unit. The fact is, where republicans in general haven't been champions of gay rights, democrat policies are damaging to 100% of the population. So that should be the higher priority to the voting public....gay or straight.
