Just as the economy crashed when it became apparent Obama would win, it is now coming back because it is looking more likely he will lose.

Its not too smart to read too much into stock market moves beyond the motive of investor greed whether it be the outcome of a presidential election, the potential for a recession, or a possible military invasion. For an example, most economists aka not wingers saw last week's move as a reaction to Draghi's announcement that the ECB would be buying up lots of bonds and helping to bring down Spain's bond yields to more reasonable levels. That sounds much more plausible than the markets believing that Romney, who last week handily set back US/Brit relations, would end up in the WH come this fall.
