Jeff, thanks for a nice post. As for your post #7, I don't know where operating systems are headed. But users want simplicity. For example my company is looking at SFA software to communicate marketing, purchase, inventory, price lists, and other vital info across the enterprise. We really like the new BROC NetGain SFA package for that reason. Yes the server is complex, but all the client machines need only a browser. A traveling salesman who loses his laptop just pops into any computer store, buys a new one, and points it at our web page and he is back at work. And if the lost laptop ends up in the hands of a competitor he has gained no information, only a laptop with web browser. I think this is the wave of the future for many applications.

Did you hear any rumors about Hydra's release date?

Once Micosoft has Hydra technology in NT server, could they also strip it down to a single user version for NT workstation? I see that possibility as a big threat to the PCAnywhere and Reachout folks.
