i'm not so certain he is within the law....a wedding cake per se is a pretty common thing to purchase....taking this logic of not offending the baker's sensibilities, you could make the argument that making a wedding cake for divorced people, interfaith weddings, etc is reasonable as well...again, all due to 'not offending' the religious beliefs of the baker...

the islamists demand the same thing...don't make me do x because it offends my religious beliefs
