very revealing piece.

I’ve always believed that the school choice issue exposes the dividing line between honest liberals and power-hungry liberals.

Regardless of ideology, any decent person will favor reforms that enable poor kids to escape horrible government schools. Lots of liberals are decent people. The ones who oppose school choice, by contrast, are…well, you can fill in the blank.

....... look how far the NAACP has sunk into the moral abyss by suing to effectively stop charter schools in NYC. Furthermore, the claim is the NY teachers union paid them off to do it. Unconscionable on BOTH ends if true.
If there is one thing that seemingly could produce tangible results in the education of the inner city youth, it has to be school choice/charter schools. All else has failed.
