Gary, I guess you really have to spell it out for me, sorry. What difference does it make from a tax standpoint? Wouldn't a repurchase on Jan 2, 1998 be essentially equivalent to a repurchase on December 30, 1997? Both would be over 30 days? Obviously I'm missing something here. H.

Are you saying that institutions want to buy back to have on the books at year end? Otherwise I see nothing special about tomorrow.
