I am in high tech industry and privy to a lot of bleeding edge stuff. I think outsourcing to China and India is nothing compared to what will come out of silicon valley over the next decade. Vast categories of high end skilled workers are going to be replaced by high tech solutions. As an easy example, consider that googling the right symptoms can diagnose a disease better than two-thirds of doctors out there. Or that google can provide a better and faster handle on flu than CDC experts. Now project this with the exponential growth of technology and "big data" and you can begin to imagine where we will be in 10 - 20 years. Additionally, affordable 3D printing is going to revolutionize manufacturing in amazing ways. This is already happening now, but the pace is still beneath the radar of most people. And here is another application of big data and algorithmics in an area that people thought could never be affected:

Have you any concept of how jobs and businesses are created ?
This isn't "wrong"... but again, don't lie about it... you made money by outsourcing American jobs... no worries... unless you CLAIM to be creating them! LOL
The example of Staples, that is just one of many, is proof of jobs created. The steel mill Bain saved is another.

Why LOL and cling to your lies ?

What is also "obvious" is that Romney's entire business career was spent "adjusting" businesses to take advantage of misplaced cost allocations based on the new labour input costs brought on by NAFTA/Free trade with China vs higher priced American labour. This isn't "wrong"... but again, don't lie about it... you made money by outsourcing American jobs... no worries... unless you CLAIM to be creating them! LOL

You obviously don't know anything about the history of Bain capital. When Romney started it, there was very little working capital and they mostly did startups. Several, including Staples, were in retail. Those are 100% local jobs, although you could argue that they displaced less efficient retailers and destroyed other jobs. For the last 10-15 years, Bain has had the resources to do buyouts of medium sized existing companies. Some of those restructurings reduced employment, but many increased employment. None of that recent history has anything to do with Romney as he left Bain to take over the Salt Lake Olympics and has not been involved in operations since then.
