Hi Clownbuck ...

What you said in your post is very much along the lines that I would also like to go. I believe that the votes received for a company should be a very important and prominent consideration. The only other consideration is, what would we do if there were quite a few stocks, from the same sector, that all received high votes.
For example, as we neared the final stages, if we had 5 oil companies that were all near the top of the voting, would we have 50% of the portfolio consisting of oil companies ?
I think we may need to get some degree of consensus and agreement on that aspect as soon as possible.

You said ...

" ... but don't have any problems to pick some from the 5 vote buckets to get a certain business represented that otherwise would not be represented in the portfolio."

I'm not quite sure, exactly, what you're referring to. Could you maybe elaborate a bit more, especially with the reference to "vote buckets".

Thanks.

If we are to challenge Buffett, we want to put forward a good effort. I think that the voting was premature and expressed this.

Please consider that Ox has not even done his write up yet. And what would be the point of final discussion if we don't evaluate what everyone has to say.

I propose that we get down to 15 stocks, Vote once again and the top 10 are in.

Agree on CMI over F.
