I've been told China is building hundreds
of old school (dirty) coal plants.
Is it true?

Well, cheap electricity is not a bad thing. But if the world gets warm enough, you won't be able to run enough air conditioners to stay cool, not to mention afford running them, no matter the electricity source...

While some like to point this out as another example of Big Gov overstepping, I see this as an example of government taking unpopular steps to save us from ourselves. Kudos to Obama.

Sooner or later, coal is going to go the way of whale oil. And a good thing too. Not soon enough, in my book.

The alternatives are too expensive? Maybe temporarily, but most places manage without coal somehow, and Ohio will figure it out, too.
