Exec Bullies Chick-Fil-A Worker, Then Promptly Gets Fired For It

In a video posted to YouTube earlier today, a man named Adam Smith goes to the Chick-Fil-A drive-through, orders water and proceeds to bully the young female employee who serves him.

The video then went viral, and, according to a MarketWire statement, Smith was subsequently fired from his job as the CFO of Vante, Inc., a Tucson, Ariz., based medical device manufacturer.

A PR statement released by the company reads:

The actions of Mr. Smith do not reflect our corporate values in any manner. Vante is an equal opportunity company with a diverse workforce, which holds diverse opinions. We respect the right of our employees and all Americans to hold and express their personal opinions, however, we also expect our company officers to behave in a manner commensurate with their position and in a respectful fashion that conveys these values of civility with others.

Don Hurst's NY TIMES is circling the toilet on its way to going out of business.

They had to sell their own building to stay afloat financially.

Now they RENT their own building . LOL

Tell us about the constant layoffs and reduction of staff at your failing NY TIMES, lefty Don.

DCCC on retraction: Comments made about Sheldon Adelson on 6/29, 7/2 "unsubstantiated allegations" that were "untrue and unfair."

2 Aug 12

On June 29 and July 2, 2012, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee issued statements suggesting that billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson donated to Republican causes using money earned from involvement in a Chinese prostitution ring. A lawyer acting on Adelson’s behalf wrote to the DCCC press secretary on July 17, threatening a lawsuit if the DCCC did not issue a retraction. You can read the letter in its entirety here.

Today, the DCCC officially retracted its earlier statements:

In press statements issued on June 29 and July 2, 2012, the DCCC made unsubstantiated allegations that attacked Sheldon Adelson, a supporter of the opposing party. This was wrong. The statements were untrue and unfair and we retract them. The DCCC extends its sincere apology to Mr. Adelson and his family for any injury we have caused.

Additionally, any references to Adelson and profits from prostitution have been scrubbed from the DCCC website. As far as Twitter goes, however, the DCCC has remained silent. This is its most recent tweet:
