I'm worried, however, that the Reps will successfully turn Reid's accusations against him and make them the news topic. Got my fingers crossed.

My guess is that the "tit-for-tat" accusations won't change anyone's mind about who they will vote for for President. Maybe a few people will get more annoyed with Harry Reid, but I'm not even sure about that--he'll get high fives from people who agree with him and more dirty looks from those don't, but that just comes with his job. However, keeping the issue of the tax returns in the public discourse might help some people who are still undecided (who are those people, anyway?!) think twice or even three times about Romney. His own father, for heavens' sake, was the person who started this practice, and released 12 years of returns, saying "You can fudge 1 or 2 years." And here Mitt is doing 2 years. If the Democrats or moveon or someone don't craft a commercial around that to run in Sept, there is something wrong with them.

That is transparently not kosher for a serious presidential candidate. Mitt has basically been running since the 2002 Olympics, if not before. The fact that he couldn't have presentable tax returns since at least 2002 is just mind boggling to me. More and more, I am coming to the opinion that the guy is a seriously narcissistic idiot. I am not yet in the "pathological" camp with Koan, but.... maybe.
