NSC boosts dividend payout by 4% ===== NORFOLK, Va., July 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Norfolk Southern Corporation ( NSC) announced that its Board of Directors today voted to increase the regular quarterly dividend on the company's common stock by 4 percent, or 2 cents per share, from 50 to 52 cents per share. The increased dividend is payable on Sept. 10 to stockholders of record on Aug. 2. Since its inception in 1982, Norfolk Southern has paid dividends on its common stock for 124 consecutive quarters.
