Since you are enjoying Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, you should read a more modern version of the same topic: Manias, Panics, and Crashes, by Charles Kindleberger, Prof at MIT. The third edition was updated in 1996. It is much more readable and up to date, in my opinion.

Perhaps WE are in there somewhere... believing WE can avoid going over the cliff with everyone else!
